Colour Creation

Colour Creation is a web development company UK agency offering a variety of graphic, web and advertising services. The company required a major overhaul and redesign of there website and brand. I first began by working on the Colour Creation Logo Design eventually designing an icon which used the CC letters of each of The Colour Creation words. The CC was then placed on a black square. A logo is always a great starting point for all brands and feeds through to the various graphics and media that would later be created. After a detailed analysis of the previous website, I came up with a number of conclusions to the issues and failings of the older website. This then led to a number of design decisions that the new design would overcome. After spending time researching various related design agencies web techniques and ideas I began to form my own ideas that would give the project and my designs a creative and innovative direction. Designing a series of layouts in both full screen and small screen gave the web developers a clear understanding of how the website should behave when adapting to various screen sizes. Then working with the developers to adjust each page and find compromises when issues with the designs were encountered. The companies services were categorised into 4 section: Design, Brand, Develop & Grow. These 4 sections then filtered through into various areas of the website including the portfolio and journal. The imagery of the website was always intended to be interesting and creative, showing potential clients the skills, expertise and imagination that the company could achieve. For me The 2 most important designs of the website are the home page and portfolio, the home is the first encounter with the company and must be instantly trusted and impress, the portfolio is so important to any design company as it shows a potential client the level of client the company has worked for and quality of design the company has created for such clients. You want a client to be totally impressed with your website and portfolio and to want their company or business to reach or surpass that level of quality.
